Some comparison photos:
- Some stumps are like icebergs when it comes to the roots. This one had very large, long surface roots.
- This stump in Newport created quite a lot of mulch which was then spread round the surrounding garden beds.
- A tricky stump due to being next to a wall, a garden tap and paving slabs.
- A stump nestled amongst a large Strelitzia had to be ground carefully.
- Large stumps can create a lot of grindings so they can be spread around the garden beds as mulch.
- Digging around the stump first allows any rocks or other buried items to be found and removed so as not to damage the stumpgrinder.
